 Democratic Liberal Party , Sudan has joined the The Alliance of Democrats on December 2011. The Alliance published this information on its web site on January 2010 in the section " Who we are" . This step has came as a result of LDP stattegy to improve its international relations and spread its linkages to different liberal and democratic networks.
The Alliance is a loose partnership of parties all around the world, that was started by the United States Democratic Party, the European Democratic Party (EDP) and the Council of Asian Liberals and Democrats (CALD). After the EDP's first political meeting in Rome in February 2005, the parties established the Alliance with offices in Brussels and Washington, DC.

Introduction:
The central focus of this paper will be on the current political crisis in Sudan from its recent position followed the Independence of Southern Part of it, without questioning the historical root-causes of the political problems in the country.
Followed the South Sudan’s Independence in the 9th of July 2011; the regime in the North has continued to manipulate the power through the policies of war and derogation of political and social freedoms.

The Political Council of the Liberal Democratic Party has elected -based on the nomination of the party Chairwoman Dr. Mayada Swar AlDahab- our colleague Mr. Salman Omar, the head of the Party Branch in Al Muglad City, South Kordfan, as Vice-President of the Executive Committee and Vice-Chairperson of the party.
Mr. Salman Omar is a legal and civic activist. He is the Chairperson of the Abeye Organisation for Peace and Development and Director of Ali Abdel Latif University Project.
We congratulate our colleague Salman Omer on being awarded this trust and we are confident he will do his duty in the best manner he can. The Political Council and and party membership are committed to support him in his task.

 The Political Council of Liberal Democratic Party , Sudan has issued statement In 3 July 2011 informing that Mrs. Nour Towir Kafi Abu Ras, former Chairwoman of LDP , has raised a memorandum to the party leadership in the 23/03/2011, in which she announced her resignation from her functions and membership in LDP. She then confirmed her resignation on 28/6/2011.
