Mr. Ashraf Alsir Al Hassan, memer of the Information Secrtariat of the Liberal Democratic Party, Sudan, has participated represnting the LDP in a workshop  of the Africa Liberal Network held in  Addis Ababa on 5 May 2012 .

Eight parties, members of  the ALN  from  East Africa and the Horn of Africa, including three governing parties from Kenya (ODM), Zanzibar (CUF) and Somaliland (KULMIYE), gathered at the invitation of the Ethiopian Democratic Party (EDP).

The two regimes in Khartoum & Juba lead both nations to war damage

We condemn occupation of Heglig and demand withdrawal of the two armies to the international borders.

In a new escalation of the disputes, the army of the South of Sudan occupied the Sudanese Heglig city (South Kordufan State) on April 10th, 2012, while the Khartoum's army continues shelling the Southern Sudan's cities, villages and oil facilities and dips into the South Sudan's borders and threatens to capture the oil fields of the South Sudan at Al Wuhda state.

When we talk about a political party and we are in the 21st century which is  itnessing a remarkable growth in awareness and a general trend towards democracy, justice, equality and peace, and given the structures of the old & traditional political parties in Sudan in terms of their organization structures and leadership, experience and their thesis, we find that it has been rooming in the same surroundings by become not only familiar but boring, which in many cases, expressed by their members or friends, or by those who see themselves on the side of those parties prior to mentioning the same by others outside the circle of their kin.

The Liberal Democratic Party follows with great concern the emerging war between the armies of Republic of Sudan and Republic of South Sudan on several border points since yesterday afternoon, 26th of March, 2012 and the escalation of conflict after the entry of the two parties’ armies to the territorial lands of each other.

LDP joined the Alliance of Democrats PDF Print E-mail

Democratic Liberal Party , Sudan has joined the The Alliance of Democrats on December 2011. The Alliance published this information on its web site on January 2010 in the section " Who we are" .  This step has came as a result of LDP stattegy to improve its international relations and spread its linkages to different liberal and democratic networks.

The Alliance  is a loose partnership of parties all around the world, that was started by the United States Democratic Party, the European Democratic Party (EDP) and the Council of Asian Liberals and Democrats (CALD). After the EDP's first political meeting in Rome in February 2005, the parties established the Alliance with offices in Brussels and Washington, DC.
